🏆 Seasons & The Hall of Fame

• The Marathon: A normal game is played across exactly 50 Rounds and comprises one complete Season.
• The Climax: Because the Bonus Intermission occurs every 10 rounds, Round 50 is always the Season Finale Intermission, allowing players to make massive Hail Mary wagers at the buzzer.
• The Hall of Fame: When a season ends, the player with the most points earns a Season Championship Trophy and a +2,500 Career Point Bonus. The leaderboard resets for the next season, but Career Points are stored permanently in the Hall of Fame.

💀 The Hall of Fame Mega-Bonus

• The Final Boss: At the end of every 5th Season (Season 5, 10, 15), Round 50 does not immediately end the game. Instead, the game spawns a secret Round 51 Mega-Bonus.
• The Blind Wager: You must blindly wager between 10% and 20% of your Lifetime HoF Points based exclusively on the Category topic.
• The Reveal: Once locked in, a brutally difficult, single-answer question is revealed.
• The Consequence: Winning or losing this wager directly impacts your permanent Hall of Fame legacy, bypassing the active Season Standings completely.

🎯 Guesser Scoring Model

• Standard Answer: +150 pts for a correct guess, 0 pts for an incorrect guess.
• Speed Demon ⚡: Answer correctly in under 15 seconds to earn a +50 pt bonus.
• Double Down 🎲: A high-stakes wager. Earn +300 pts if you guess correctly, but suffer a -150 pt penalty if you get it wrong.
• Nemesis Extraction 💥: Correctly breaking a trap set by your historical Nemesis (the creator you miss against the most) awards an automatic +50 pt Bounty.
• Underdog Boost 🚀: If you are trailing the 1st Place leader by 1,500 points or more, standard correct answers grant an automatic +50 pt catch-up bonus.

⏸️ The Intermission Bonus Rounds

Every 10 rounds, normal rotation pauses and the AI spawns a Bonus Intermission.

• All 4 Players Guess: There is no creator for this round.
• No Time Limit: The 2-hour clock is disabled.
• The Wager: You must wager between 20% and 50% of your current total points.
• Randomized Answer Counts (1 to 7): The AI provides 8 options where anywhere from 1 to 7 answers are strictly correct—weighted across the full 1-to-7 spectrum so you can never assume a middle count.
• The Math: Reward Ratio (Correct Picks / Total Correct) minus Penalty Ratio max(Wrong Picks / Total Wrong, Wrong Picks × 0.25) × 1.15. Every incorrect box selected carries a minimum 25% wager penalty floor (plus a 15% bite).
• Anti-Carpet-Bombing Rule 💣: Blindly selecting all 8 options (or 0 options) triggers an automatic -100% Wager Loss. Spam-clicking 6 or 7 options to hedge will also bleed your wager through the 25% per-wrong-box penalty floor.

⚖️ The 'Goldilocks' Creator Rule

Creators are rewarded for finding the sweet spot in difficulty. When a standard round closes, the creator's performance is graded based on how the 3 guessers fared:

• The Shattered Compass (+400 pts): 0 correct answers, but all 3 guessers picked 3 completely different wrong answers. An inescapable trap. Absolute mastermind.
• Too Hard (-50 pts): 0 correct answers, and the guessers clustered on 1 or 2 wrong answers. The question was just poorly calibrated or misleading.
• Sniper Shot (+150 pts): Exactly 1 guesser gets it right. Absolute masterclass in splitting the room.
• Balanced (+100 pts): Exactly 2 guessers get it right. The true Goldilocks zone.
• Too Easy (-25 pts): All 3 guessers get it right; too soft.
• Inactive Crew: If 1 or more guessers fail to submit an answer within the 2-hour window, Creator Grading is automatically voided (0 pts) to protect creators from inactive players.

🤖 The Question Bank (Auto-Deployment)

• Players can pre-draft handcrafted questions in the Question Bank tab.
• When it becomes your turn to create a question, if you have an active question queued, it will instantly deploy without you needing to log in.
• Auto-deployment respects Quiet Hours and will hold your banked question until 4:00 AM PT if your turn starts late at night.

⏱️ The 2-Hour Rules & Quiet Hours

• Quiet Hours: Standard questions can only be created between 4:00 AM and 8:00 PM Pacific Time. The 2-hour creation clock automatically pauses outside of this window.
• Creator Window: During active hours, the creator has exactly 2 hours to draft and publish their question. Failing to do so triggers an automatic -100 pt penalty for the creator, awards a +100 pt bounty to the other three players, and passes the turn.
• Guesser Window: Once a standard question goes live, guessers have 2 hours to log in and submit their answer. Missing the window incurs a -100 pt penalty.

🔥 Campfire Rules & Tie-Breakers

• Tie-Breaker: Leaderboard ranking defaults to total score, followed by fastest Average Response Speed.
• Campfire Honor System: No Googling or outside lookups during active rounds. Once the clock starts on your screen, lock it in.
• PIN Authentication: Default is 1234. Update in the sidebar. Logins are preserved via browser session.
